Why do I get a Directory Listing when I go to my site?

All apache web servers automatically default to a dDirectory listing

To avoid this from happening
You need to have a file in your directory called "index.html",
or visitors to your site will see a list of its contents.

Also, make sure you are uploading your website files into the /public_html/ directory.
