What should I name my default page in each directory?

In keeping with Internet standards, the first page of each directory
must be called one of the following:

index.htm, index.html
index.php (for PHP pages), or index.shtml (for SSI pages).

This will be the default page in each folder, so if you type http://www.yourdomain.com/folder/,
rather than http://yourdomain.com/folder/filename.html,
it will automatically go to index.html or its equivilent.
